The Magnificent Seven meets Deadwood video

I saw this really cool Deadwood promo on Youtube, and thought it would be interesting to use the audio from it to make a promo for The Magnificent Seven. The audio is from the bible, Matthew, Ch. 5. I rearranged some of it to fit what I wanted. I'm not completely happy with it, I think it turned out just OK. I partly blame my editing software, which is limited.

It was an interesting experiment, I like the use of the Deadwood promo, but I had a little trouble seeing some of the video, but maybe that is just my computer that made it so dark. Thank you for sharing.

Wow, that was way cool! Love the choices of clips for each particular blessing; you hit them just right. It was pretty chilling to hear the Deadwood characters with the Mag 7 actors. It's a terrific promo; just wish CBS had tried that hard when the show aired initially. Thanks for posting!

Thank you for the compliments! It was hard trying to find the right scenes for some of them. Sometimes I wonder how long the show would have lastest if it were on HBO, or if it was on TV now, instead of 10 years ago before westerns were really in.

I wonder too, especially how the show would have been different if it were on HBO. I do think the tablecloth might have been missing :) Having more support and less threat of being canceled would have made the show more often. It is nice to see more Westerns; maybe Mag 7 paved the way.

I think I held my breath for the entire thing. It gave me goosebumps! It was beautiful and chilling and so perfectly and simply done. You rock, as always :)

Aww, thanks! The original gave me goosebumps, so I'm glad the feeling was able to translate to the M7 version.
