Ask Me Meme

Turnabout is fair play I suppose!

Online journals are little filters that we each see every one else's lives through, the parts others choose to share with us. That said, we all think we are close, but really we seldom know *a lot* about each other. So I want you to ask me something you think you should know about me. Something that should be obvious, but you have no idea about. Ask away.

Then post this in your LJ and find out what people don't know about you...

What do you do for fun away from fandom?
Well, I love music, so I go to a lot of concerts. I like going to my friend's house and just hanging out, watching a movie and having dinner. I like playing games, like Apples to Apples, dominoes, cards, and trivia games. I like hiking and exploring, but I don't get to do that much. I watch the NASCAR race on TV every weekend. Hmm, I guess I'm pretty boring. :)
OK, I know you don't read fan fiction; what I don't know is why?
Well, there are a couple reasons. The main reason is that I'm not big into reading. I know that sounds horrible, but it's the truth. I used to read a lot when I was younger, but now for some reason I just don't like it. I'd rather be doing something else. I also don't like reading long pieces of text on the computer. I do read some short M7 drabbles, things that only take a few minutes to read.
Well, even though reading for me is very important, I don't think it's horrible when people say they're not into reading. We all like doing different things.

And I know what you mean about reading long texts on the computer. It's a dead end - I can't spend all that ink on printing them, and I can't sit for hours in front of my computer at home (I do enough of that at work, and it shows). Which is a nuisance, because I like long, involved fics!

And then there's the fact that a lot of it is simply bad, or good but not your cup of tea.

Yep, I've had that problem too! Especially when it comes to Ezra. Reading bad Ezra fic sorta ruins the character for me. I guess I'd rather keep my own view of him in my mind, then read how other people would write him.
